After 40 years of keeping mum, Elizabeth Kendall and her daughter Molly are breaking their silence on Ted Bundy.
A five-part docuseries will be released on Amazon Prime Video chronicling Elizabeth and Molly’s life with the notorious serial killer. Titled, “Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer” the web series will be available for streaming on the platform in 2020.
According to Deadline, Bundy’s heinous crimes will be retold from a female perspective. It will explore how he expressed his pathological hatred of women through the disturbing and polarizing murders he committed. As well as its ties with the culture wars and the growing feminist movement back in the 1970s. Audiences will be given a closer look at one of the most infamous true-crime sagas of our time, as per Deadline.
In the 1970s Bundy had kidnapped, murdered and raped countless young women. The killer had confessed to 30 murders noting that he was suspected to have committed many more. His killing spree finally ended when he was arrested and eventually executed in 1989.
Now, Elizabeth and Molly are sharing their experiences and encounters with Bundy including more unsettling details that have never been told before. The mother and daughter will talk about his allure on women and will release a never before seen archive of family photos with the killer.
Bundy has recently been the subject of true crime documentaries on the small and big screen. This year, the feature film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile was released on Netflix where Zac Efron took on the role of Bundy.
