Scarlett Johansson is hearing out fans who are clamoring for closure.
After her character Natasha Romanoff a.k.a Black Widow’s died in Avengers: Endgame, her standalone film will be giving fans what they want. Johansson addressed the matter at the red carpet premiere of Jojo Rabbit in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday. Speaking to news outlet Entertainment Tonight, the actress shared new details about the upcoming Black Widow movie.
“I don’t know if I can take it anymore without any closure,” Johansson told the outlet. “It’s too exhausting,” she quipped.
Many fans believed that Avengers: Endgame was Johansson’s last stint as Black Widow. The character died in the epic blockbuster after she sacrificed herself to allow Clint Barton a.k.a Hawkeye to seize the soul stone. Her honorable sacrifice led to earth’s mightiest heroes ultimately saving the planet from the hands of Thanos.
Johansson had spent almost a decade playing the deadly assassin in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Finally, it was confirmed at the San Diego Comic-Con back in July that she will be reprising her role for a standalone film.
“I love it. I’m so proud of what we made,” Johansson said about the film after revealing that it has already reached post-production. “Now we get to sprinkle the magic all over it. Get it ready for audiences.”
For fans wondering, the Black Widow flick will portray the events between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. It will follow Natasha Romanoff as she kicks ass in her own spy adventures.
