Taylor Swift looks back on her beginnings

Taylor Swift is reflecting on her humble beginnings in the music industry.

Last Thursday, the 29-year-old singer celebrated the 13th year anniversary of her self titled debut studio album. She celebrated the exciting day by sharing pictures taken from her two major concerts on Twitter. One was taken during the early days of her career. Seen from the photo is Swift performing for a group of people. On the other hand, the second photo showed the songstress on an elevated platform performing in a large arena from her Reputation tour.

“I said in an interview 13 years ago ‘I’m just hoping that I have a second album that does as well as the first & someday get to be a headliner, & always be the same person that I started out as,'” the singer wrote in the Tweet. “Scrolling through your posts has me feeling all the feelings & I want to thank you.”

Swift then posted an endearing message to her supporters. The singer’s massive fan base has taken her to fame to soaring heights.

“Because of you, there was a 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th and 7th album,” Swift wrote to thank her fans. “You guys made me into a headliner because you wanted to see me play. And your support all these years is what’s helped me stay true to that kid I was when I started out. #13YearsOfTaylor.”

Last week, the songstress celebrated her latest album’s release with a Tiny Desk Concert at NPR. At the event, Swift sang acoustic versions of her new music from “Lover.”
