Ashton Kutcher talks staying in touch with ex Demi Moore’s kids

Ashton Kutcher recently revealed that he still communicates with his former stepdaughters from his past marriage to Demi Moore.

The actor sat down for a straightforward interview on the WTF Podcast with Marc Maron. On Monday’s episode of the podcast, Kutcher candidly talked about his relationship with Moore post-divorce. The 41-year-old told Maron that he makes “conscious effort to stay in touch” with Moore’s three daughters — Rummer, Scout, and Tallulah Willis.

“I was helping raise teenage girls through their adolescence,” the star of Netflix’s “The Ranch” explained. Kutcher recalled that Tallulah — Moore’s youngest — was only eight or nine years old when they started dating. She had already graduated high school when the two filed for divorce.

“I love them and I’m never going to stop loving them and respecting them and honoring them and rooting for them to be successful in whatever they are pursuing,” Kutcher said.

Moore shares her kids with her second ex-husband, Bruce Willis. They were married from 1987 to 2000. While Kutcher owned up to his duties as a stepfather, the tech entrepreneur stresses that he never tried to replace Willis as their father even after he married Moore.

“I think you try [to stay in their lives], but at the same time, I’m not their father, and I was never trying to be their father,” he tells Maron. “I always had respect and honored Bruce, and I think he’s a brilliant human being and a wonderful man.”

The main reason why he keeps a bond with his ex-wife’s daughters is that they’re on board to be on good terms as well.

“If they don’t want an engagement with me, I’m not going to force it upon them, but they all do and it’s great.”
