Pussycat Dolls reunion: new music is in the works

The nostalgia wave is hitting us hard with this one. Nicole Scherzinger is currently busy hitting the studio to record new music with her girl band, the Pussycat Dolls.

News of new music comes after reports surfaced that the girl group will be reuniting soon. Speculations of a reunion tour began when an official Twitter, Instagram, and website for the group emerged online.

Now, entertainment news publisher Variety reports that Scherzinger is reuniting with Pussycat Dolls members in the recording studio according to a source close to the lead singer. A separate source told the outlet that Scherzinger now owns part of the rights to the group after acquiring it from the group’s founder Robin Antin. The choreographer started the sing-and-dance troupe back in 1995.

United Kingdom’s The Sun recently published a report claiming Scherzinger scored a “multi-million-pound deal” to return to PCD for a reunion tour similar to that of the Spice Girl. If it’s to be believed, the tour will kick of sometime in 2020. The deal reportedly includes new material from the troupe.

Scherzinger herself has confirmed that she is “working on music,” at a Los Angeles event as per Variety. While she kept mum on whether the music involves reuniting with PCD she did say:

“I’m still evolving as an artist and as a writer and as a performer, so I can’t wait to release new stuff next year.”

The singer and television personality actually recorded an entire studio album for her solo career in music. But “Her Name Is Nicole” never it the shelves despite Interscope records’ USD1.5 million investment in it.
