Nicki Minaj is far from retiring. As it turns out, she and Adele will be dropping new music and we can already tell that it’s going to be fire.
Minaj broke the news to Entertainment Tonight’s Keltie Knight during the launch of her Fendi fashion line “Fendi Prints On”. The celebration was held on Tuesday in Los Angeles, California. While on hand, the “Megatron” rapper revealed that she and the British superstar are teaming up for new music.
When asked if she and the 15 time Grammy winner are currently working on something or if they’d ever work together in the future, she immediately confirms. “Yes and yes, yes and yes, wooo hoo!” Minaj announced without a hint of playing coy at all. It looks like she’s as excited about the collaboration as we are.
“But Adele made me swear to secrecy that I’m not allowed to tell anyone that I’m working with her. And that we already shot a video. And it’s an epic song! Ahh!” the rapper added without holding back. That’s not a secret that’s easy to keep and hopefully, Adele will forgive her for spilling the beans.
Adele herself is known as one of Minaj’s biggest fans. Earlier this year, a video of the songstress rapping to Minaj’s verse from the song Monster by Kanye West at a Los Angeles party circulated online. It quickly went viral.
She even spits out the same verse years prior to James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke segment from back in 2016.
While Minaj didn’t share any specifics, it’s safe to believe the upcoming track might be in Adele’s next highly anticipated studio album.
