Cody Simpson on why dating Miley Cyrus is a “different experience”

Cody Simpson is absolutely, irrevocably and madly in love with his girlfriend, Miley Cyrus.

The singer was evidently on cloud nine about the relationship as he confirmed their romance in an interview with People. Simpson attended the launch of Tiffany & Co.’s Men’s jewelry collection held in Los Angeles, California last Friday.

“I’m very happy. We are very, very happy,” told media about his relationship with Cyrus. The singer went on to gush about his girl saying, “She’s creative. She’s very passionate about what she does, and I’m very similar in that sense. That’s why we get along so well.”

“We just have a ball, yeah, and that’s the most important part of a relationship, you know?” Simpson added.

As for what sets dating Cyrus apart from all the other girls he’s been with, he says growing from a friendship as a reason.

“The reason why it hasn’t been a really crazy sudden thing is just because we’ve been friends for so long,” Simpson said. He went on to add that they “found each other again in a space where we’re both not partying, working real hard, and it just keeps things healthy and it’s good.”

He continued, “Any girlfriends I’ve had in the past has always been immediate romance and so it’s a different experience having been friends with somebody before and it developing naturally into something more.”

Simpson and Cyrus made headlines for their blooming romance after the latter broke up with ex-girlfriend Kaitlyn Carter. Cyrus has been in headlines since filing for divorce from Liam Hemsworth.
